The Choice of Moving Forward

The choice and conscious decision of moving forward is difficult but must happen for us to have healthy lives and relationships. Moving forward means you make the decision to leave behind the baggage that you’ve been carrying. Everything that has happened in the past cannot be changed. We cannot let our regrets and our failures, or the trauma that we’ve endured, dictate our future. Instead, let us use those failures as opportunities to learn, be better, be focused on the real, true things in our life.

We must take accountability for the mistakes we’ve made. Stop playing the victim. Once you make the choice to own your mistakes and failures, it will no longer have a hold on your life. You will be set free.

Healthy means moving forward and accepting ourselves for exactly who we are—mistakes, flaws, and everything in between. For in acceptance, comes clarity, and with clarity we finally see everything that we are made of and what we’re capable of achieving.

Moving forward may just be the greatest gift we can ever give ourselves in leading our healthiest, truest lives.
