As I’m writing this, I realize as this third book in the Angel Falls series ends, I’m saying goodbye to the Langdons, who feel very much like family to me. Rafe has been especially close to my heart. I hope he will entertain you as much as he has me! Many thanks to my editor at Forever, Amy Pierpont, who helped me bring Rafe and Kaitlyn to life and let his funny nature and her strong, independent one shine through.
Thanks to Jill Marsal, my awesome agent, and to Estelle, Gabi, Sam, and Jodi, the hardworking and dedicated team at Forever Romance, and to Elizabeth Stokes for the gorgeous covers for my whole series. And thanks to the many people behind the scenes who made this book a reality.
Many thanks to Retired Chief Doyle Jones of the Oberlin, Ohio, Fire Department, who helped me to understand the life and job of a firefighter. The men and women who do this job are amazing!
Thanks to Barbara Talevich of the fabulous West Side Bakery in Akron, Ohio, who talked to me about what it might be like to create a cookie recipe from scratch and the love and pride of owning a business.
Thanks to everyone who helped name our sweet puppy! I have to thank Anna Katharine Koehler for the perceptive comment that Bandit was the stealer of hearts. Jennifer Beck, Jenny Merchant, and Ramona Kekstadt also came up independently with Bandit’s name. And Beverly Kee, thank you for the very masculine names that Rafe preferred, like Bear, Gunner, Moe, Harley, and Duke.
Thanks to AE Jones and Sandy Owens, my wonderful writer friends. I’m so glad we can travel together down this crazy path!
To my husband, Ed, thanks for sharing your sense of humor with Rafe and me and for all your love and support day in and day out. And to my kids, thank you for being as proud of me as I always am of all of you.
Lastly, thank you, dear readers, for reading the books, chatting with me, sending me your notes and thoughts, and sharing this amazing journey of the imagination with me. Without you, none of this would be possible.
