Classroom or Book Group Discussion Questions
- Who are the thought leaders you admire most, and why? How did you learn about them? How do they share their ideas with the world (blogging, writing books, speaking, etc.)?
- What are the ideas or concepts you’re most excited about right now? What intrigues you about them?
- Are there areas in your life where you feel a sense of mission or purpose? Which ones, and why?
- How do you make time for reflection in your life, and find the space to think? What’s worked for you and what hasn’t?
- Are there areas where you currently feel you have expertise? Which ones? How did you develop that expertise?
- Are you currently sharing that expertise with others? If yes, how? If not, why not?
- Do you have a “mastermind group” of colleagues with whom you share ideas? If yes, what role do they play in your life, and how did you come to be part of the group? If no, are there other ways you’re getting professional support and feedback? How could you build more of this into your life?
- Are you currently active on social media? Why or why not? Which channels are most appealing to you, and why? What types of things do you communicate about? How has it benefited or influenced you?
- Are you part of any communities built around an idea (anything from Lean Startup Meetups to religious groups to attending TED or TEDx talks)? If yes, why did the idea speak to you, and what do you get out of your involvement in the community?
