Jesus died on Friday, but He rose on Sunday. How is that three days?

When Jews referred to dates and times, they included any portion of a day as a day. Christ had been crucified on Friday and died before sunset (day 1). He had remained buried all day Saturday (day 2). And the women arrived at the tomb on Sunday morning. So when calculating the number of days that had passed since Jesus died, this Sunday was the third day.
