Chapter Sixteen

image

Rada watched Moxie feeling like himself for the first time since they came to this plane. She was beautiful. Not the beautiful he heard the males in the city talk of or the beauty on magazines. She reminded him of the bountifulness of the earth or the sea, which he hadn’t seen in forever. She was eternal and called to him. Her movements were economic as if she couldn’t afford to make a move that wouldn’t pay off. It had to be the assassin in her.

Knowing this female was dangerous set his mind at ease. He didn’t worry about her the way he would have if she were defenseless. She still needed a champion, and he would gladly fill that slot in her life.

Was there a time when this was normal, the shedding of clothes, the desire to get closer? No matter how he tried, he couldn’t remember that time. It must have been in his life at some point. He knew what to do, understood the parts of the female body. Other things he had forgotten until he met her—the softness of skin, the smell of flowers blossoming with female musk. The silk of lips touching. Those things were long gone if he ever held the memory.  The only thing in his memory was the time he spent in the Mist. There was never a way to forget the horrors of living there. It was somewhere Between Heaven and Hell and what the name of their town was based upon.

“Lost in your thoughts?”

“You’re beautiful.”

“You don’t have to say that. You’ll get lucky if you want to.”

“Why?” He pulled his shirt off, flexing his muscles as her eyes devoured him.

“I want to say I’ve come too far to stop. I think that might be the cop-out answer. I want you. There’s a physical ache to be with you, but I think it’s deeper than that. But like we said, one day at a time.”

He could live with that. For centuries, it had been his life taking one day knowing tomorrow would be the same but still waking with some sick fascination that today would be the day. Then everything changed. Then he met Moxie.

Who was she, this human from two planes? This gifted mortal was able to see the light that most beings couldn’t see. The Mist was a great teacher; he could see the light but couldn’t weave it the way she could.

She crawled on the bed before lying on her back with her hands above her head, chest puffed up. Her knees were bent and slightly opened in an invitation. She shook her head and turned to her side with a leg stretched out while she twisted her face into an expression that he thought might mean come to me.

His heart twisted in joy. She was as awkward and unsure of herself as he was. Then he was happy his brothers weren’t here to see him genuinely being happy. They would never let him live it down.

She gave a fake cough and looked over his body. One of them was naked, and one wasn’t. He quickly undid his pants and slid them off with his boxers following.

It would be a lie if he didn’t acknowledge that he spent time studying himself in the mirror. Now he was hard standing up straight. Pride slid through his chest. He was a worthy specimen, a worthy male for a warrior like Moxie.

He crawled onto the bed, allowing his eyes to devour the planes and hollows of her body.

“Do you find me worthy of you?”

“Rada, it’s the other way around.” She pulled him down until his chest was pressed against hers, the rest of his body lying on the bed.

Their lips met in a soft kiss. It was the innocence of the first kissed they shared and the exploration. They took their time in this place where time didn’t move; they could take forever. When passion built to the point, they could no longer ignore it, tongues clashed, dueling with each other as they traded and savored in the other's taste.

When they parted, she was panting, clutching his back. “I don’t know what you do to me. Whatever it is I like,” she whispered in his ear before licking the shell of it.

He shivered; a moan came from her. “You like that.” She did it again, liking the way she was pulling him apart by little pieces.

“I didn’t know that I was sensitive there.” She smiled with pure satisfaction.

His hand trailed down her throat, fascinated by the soft feel of her pulse. He loved the smoothness of her skin that connected to her shoulder. He sucked on her neck, a feeling of satisfaction coming when he left his mark on her.

“Did you mark me?”

“Yes.” There was no way to miss the waves of male satisfaction he sent out.

“You’re such a male,” she teased.

“Thank you.” He dipped his head, taking one of her nipples into his mouth. She clutched at his back as she pressed herself closer to him. Her breasts were small, but her nipples were large and sensitive. The wind touching them made them hard, but this...

Little moans that were angsty and needy slipped from her.

“Don’t stop, please don’t.” She encouraged him as her body writhed underneath him.

“Never,” he said it as a vow.

Moxie was going crazy; the pleasure was too much. This had to be a fever dream, the kind you had when you were close to death. She was scared that she would be back in the compound being watched night and day when her eyes opened.

The air in her chest stopped, frozen in her panic.

“Come back to me, Moxie.” Rada’s voice reached out to wrap around her.

“Rada?”

“I’m here; stay with me.” There was an order in his commanding voice, but underneath she heard real fear.

Her hell beast didn’t fear anyone. What could have upset him? She opened her eyes, needing to see him.

“You were gone.” His fingers caressed her face. “It was like you were an empty husk. I couldn’t feel you.”

“I was lost, convinced that all this was a dream, and when I woke, I would be back in my old room, living the life I hated.”

“I’m real; we’re real together.”

“When they come for me?”

“We fight, was there any doubt.”

“Make love to me.” She pushed on his chest until he was lying on his back. Then moved over until she was straddling him before lowering her breasts until one nipple was rubbing against his lips. He opened, taking it in, sucking as she moaned. Her thighs clenched around him.

This was Rada; a peace she hadn’t felt before wormed itself inside of her. When he tugged on the nipple, her back arched, he took the other one between his fingers rolling it with care. Thoughts of tomorrow and the battle to come slipped away as she drifted in pleasure, surrounded by a fantasy that this would never end. This was the first time, but it wasn’t the last time. She cried out when he took the other nipple into his mouth.

A future she never dared to dream about spread out in front of her.  Life with him and their extended family, she wanted that. It was worth fighting over. Then he started alternating between her two nipples, and all she could think about was the pleasure he was giving her.

“This.” It came out as a gasp, a moan that she couldn’t think through.

“This,” he repeated, “is what I’ve been waiting for. You are what I’ve been seeking.”

That! That was what she wanted to tell him to say, but her tongue was tied as she slid her hips over his abs. Intense surges of need went through her.

“I want you deep within me.” It was a thought she wasn’t sure she said aloud.

He flipped her, lying on her body. He used his mouth and hands to work his way down from her chest while the weight of him held her helpless. Her head flipped from side to side, not in distress but in glorious need.

Rada kissed down her body, finding nerve endings and sensitive spots she didn’t know existed. He would lick her or give her a love bite, then blow on the area taking her higher. She never thought boy meets girl; boy gives girl the most intense time of her life could be like this.

When his fingers stroked her pussy while his teeth nipped at her stomach, she almost came. A loud sound of need poured from her lips.

“Please.” She needed him now.

“Not yet.” He bent his head then licked the slit of her pussy. Her legs went around his neck as her hips lifted, wanting to get closer to his mouth.

When she felt his tongue dive deep inside, her heels beat on his back. She needed more than a tongue.

“Now, you can explore later.” Her voice was thick with desire. She would explore later too. Right now, she needed to be connected to him. To know they were in this together.

He rose above her, looking like a god emerging from the sea or one coming from Mt. Olympus. She shook her head. He wasn’t a god, and she wasn’t some susceptible virgin to be ravished.

“I want you, Moxie.”

“Then what are you waiting for?”

He laid on her pressing her down, giving a show of his power and strength. He never made her feel powerless, just protected. Then he moved, nudging her legs open while he settled himself close to her pussy. He rubbed against her. Teasing her while her heart sped up and her pussy dripped with wetness.

“You want to play?” She reached down and took his cock in her hands, moving from base to tip with one fluid motion. A hiss came from him that made her repeat the move.

“You like that? I did.”

He gave her that look. The one she knew to be wary of. He moved her hand, then shifted his hips, burying himself deep within her.

A cry of shock and pleasure came from her. This was more than she expected. There was a tingle all through her pussy that spread out to the surface of her body. She was alight with fire and desire, and she swung her hips in the primal motion to match his. Words were gone, and she thought in grunts and images.

There was the one of him between her legs eating her out. Followed by one of him making sweet love to her, then hard and fast. There was this need to get closer to him when she was as close as she could be. Then there were the others. They moved fast like a comet across the night sky, leaving the tail for her to peek at. In them were glimpses of a family, a home. Those were the kind of things that assassins didn’t have.

She could almost hear him whisper one day at a time as he took her to the next mountain peak. Then nothing but the ecstasy she was feeling meant anything to her.

“I’m so close.” She was going to explode. There would be no finding her as she came to the earth in little pieces of who she used to be, that feeling at the base of her spine yelling that nothing would ever be the same expanded.

She held on tight as it burst, taking her over. Her mouth opened on a loud keening sound as an orgasm rolled through her body. This was the sex she heard about but never experienced. There was too much pleasure for this to simply be sex. It was making love, giving yourself to another person, being vulnerable when all you’ve ever been was strong. This was much more intimate than taking off your clothes or allowing another free reign to touch you. This is what it was always meant to be when two people came together.

She was sky diving without a chute, dipping into pools of pleasure, each taking her higher than the one before. She looked as Rada gave a roar of his own, joining her on the journey of pleasure.

“Rada.” She tightened her hold on him as another orgasm rocked her body. Then she felt it; it was as fragile as a flower. A connection that allowed her to briefly see through his eyes before it faded away.

She shoved it out of her mind as she kissed him. Gently drifting back to earth, each touching the other in smooth motions. When he turned, still deep within her and tugged her close, she didn’t argue. This was where she wanted to be. Her eyes closed, knowing that he would protect her when she was most vulnerable. Her heart beat a rhythm she’d never heard before, but she was too tired to decipher it.
