LAJOS Obersoxszki was killed on November 10 in Köbánya by fire from an AK-47. Two hours later AVH men took his body and those of three others and hung them from a tree with a sign that read THIS IS WHAT WE DO WITH COUNTERREVOLUTIONARIES. By that Saturday armed resistance was almost at an end, although it did continue sporadically for weeks, and strikes and demonstrations went on into 1957.

Lajos had taken part as best he could in the fighting with a Mosin-Nagant carbine but, being a poor shot, he had failed to kill anyone.
