We see martyrs made from lies. We see scandals and dreams made from simple gestures. One great moment in time, one defining moment, fought after for years. Nothing should ever come easy. All greatness needs to be strived for. But can we end the passion just then? Longevity defines us. Our actions, failures, and accomplishments are all strung together across a lifetime. All of us have a defining moment, a simple second when our dreams were caught and tucked inside a breast pocket. But all too often that dream passes like an angel soaring across a crowded room too quickly to grasp, and instead leaves in its wake a gentle wind that cringes the bones and tickles the nape of the neck. But out of all things lost, something new begins.
