Disappointment grows when the soil of our heart is hopeless. You may feel like a task is impossible to accomplish or that you are inadequate to fulfill your purpose. Setbacks can become setups when we cleanse our minds of negative thoughts.
Hope arises from the dust of disappointment. It frames its optimism on the truth of God’s eternal love. The Holy Spirit guides our thinking to be filled with expectation. God will meet us where we are. He will both comfort and challenge us.
Let confident expectation guide you through the threshold of your new beginning. Put your faith in the person of Jesus Christ. His promises will never fail.

God of comfort and understanding, you know the frailty of my life. You know the negative cycles of my thoughts. Cleanse my mind with your perspective. Fill my heart with your hope.
