ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This volume is the result of a significant collaboration that includes many individuals, institutions, and foundations. Interfaith Youth Core hosted a planning meeting in Chicago in August 2016 for the contributing authors. This event was essential in developing a vision for a volume that would be more than the sum of its parts. The gathering was supported in part by funds contributed by Boston University School of Theology, Hebrew College, and Andover Newton Theological School, from a joint grant the three institutions received from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations. These three Boston-area schools have been pioneers in recognizing the importance of interreligious education for religious leadership formation. The editors are grateful for their support. In addition, crucial early funding came from the Argosy Foundation to provide resources for the editors and contributing authors. We are indebted to them for their commitment to supporting the development of new resources for academics and educators involved with interreligious/interfaith studies.
The editors wish to extend a special note of appreciation and acknowledgment to Kristi Del Vecchio, academic initiatives manager at Interfaith Youth Core, for her tireless editorial and logistical support throughout the development of this book.
