Lately I've been feeling like a caged bird, so I’m going to sing.
Watching tv, with the latest tech on display, wondering if I will always remain a caged bird? Freedom is an illusion,
And occasionally the illusion becomes a bit distorted and glimpses of the truth just makes me delusional,

For instance, who taught you right from wrong?
Giving us understanding of the morality they innovated.
Claiming they invented it,
But deep down we know they stole it and trying to just sell it back.
Lost and probably almost forgotten, but the black man was once a king, not lazy or a thug.
Now society constantly demoralize him.
Uplift us with false hopes and freedom just to tear us down with actions of reality,
Leaving us to forget about actuality.
