LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish networks with people they know and trust professionally. LinkedIn makes it easy to discover, connect and nurture relationships with people in the same business, search and apply for jobs, and get updates on topics and companies that make a difference to your business.

As of April 2017, LinkedIn had 500 million members in 200 countries, out of which more than 106 million members are active.

A basic membership in LinkedIn is free but there are some upgrades that charge a monthly fee. Network members are called “connections.”

LinkedIn is where you want to post your resume, your accomplishments, and articles you think others might find relevant. For a notary, it is a site where you might seek out other notaries and do some cross-networking. As I mentioned before, LinkedIn is where your co-authors became connected and decided to collaborate on this book.
