“You’ve got sauce on your chin, you slob,” Iver giggled as we sat opposite each other at Tabbies, gorging on hamburgers.
I chuckled and reached out for a napkin to wipe my chin. “Did I get it?”
Iver snorted and shook his head. He took the napkin out of my hand and wiped my face. “There.”
“Thanks, man,” I said as I bit into my burger again.
“You need an omega to take care of you,” Tabby said as she refilled mine and Iver’s sodas.
“I wish,” I mumbled with my mouth full.
“You’ll find someone one day,” Tabby replied.
“Sooner than he realizes,” Iver responded.
I looked at my nephew with wide eyes. “Yeah?”
Iver nodded his head and smiled. “But that’s all I’m gonna say.”
I nodded. It was enough. I couldn’t wait to meet a mate. If Iver said there would be one coming to me soon, that was enough for me. I was prepared to wait if there was someone to wait for.
Once we finished our burgers, I leaned back in the chair and rubbed my belly. “That hit the spot.”
“Got room for dessert?” Tabby asked.
I shook my head. “Not for me, but the young fella might.”
Tabby glanced at Iver, who waved his hand and shook his head. “No, I couldn’t possibly eat anything else.”
“What? I thought you were a growing boy?” Tabby laughed.
Iver giggled and nodded his head. “I am, but that burger was huge.”
Tabby grinned. “I hope you enjoyed it.”
“You outdid yourself, Tabby,” I said. “It was beautiful.”
Tabby leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “I can always count on the Rigby’s to make my day.”
“You ready to get home and show your parents your new tattoo?” I asked.
Iver grinned and nodded his head; sliding out of the booth, he stood and waited for me to pay our tab and then follow me out to the car. We turned the music up loud and were wailing as I pulled into the compound. I pulled up to the main house and climbed out of the car.
“Hey, we are home,” I called out as I opened the door to the main house.
“Alright, show us your work,” Joachim said to Iver as he came out of the kitchen.
Iver stripped out of his shirt and turned his back to show his father. Joachim grinned. “Dad is going to love that,” he said. Sloane had outdone herself on Iver’s kraken. “What did you get?”
I stripped out of my shirt and turned my back. I’d added my latest niece to my back. Whisper’s face shone beside her brother, Nasuth’s.
“I love it,” Joachim said. “If I was brave enough to get a tattoo, I’d love to do something for the kids.”
“You should ask Burgess; he is a gentle tattooist.”
Iver bust out a laugh. “That’s not what you were saying when he was tattooing you. I believe there were a bunch of four-letter words.”
I chuckled. “You said you wouldn’t tell.”
Iver laughed and shook his head. “I said I wouldn’t tell Dad. Papa knows how much you swear.”
I glanced over at Joachim, who nodded his head. “Did you want to join us for dinner? Lynx and Israel have the smoker going, and we were going to have a cookout.”
I shook my head. “Normally I would, but I got a car towed in today, and I want to check it out before we shut up for the night. Donte said it’d blown a head gasket and a water valve, so I wanted to order new parts before they shut for the weekend.”
Joachim shook his head. “I have no idea what they are. But no worries.”
I chuckled and leaned forward, pressing a kiss to my brother in laws cheek before kissing Iver.
“See ya, buddy. Let me know what your old man thinks of your tattoo,” I said.
Iver grinned and nodded his head. “I will. See ya, Uncle Sid.”
I waved goodbye and walked out the door and down to my car. I spotted Donte coming into the compound with someone on the back of his bike. I waved my hand and brought my car to life as I pulled out and headed back into the shop to check out the Valiant that had been towed in.
