After Bryan Morrison’s original memoir ended in 1991, he continued working from 1 Star Street in Bayswater, managing his four music publishing companies, Bryan Morrison Music, Morrison Leahy Music, Snapper Music and Lupus Music as well as developing The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club.

Over the next three decades, as the size of the membership of the Berkshire grew, so did the facilities, so that the club now includes seven polo fields, the UK’s first all-weather polo arena, a stick and ball field, stabling for more than 200 horses, two tennis courts, a croquet lawn, a gym, clubhouse, Royal Pavilion, and a polo academy.

The gold and silver Prince of Wales Trophy, designed by society jeweller Theo Fennell, has become one of the most prestigious high goal tournaments in the calendar, attracting leading players and celebrities from around the world, and is now in its 34th year and is still held at the Club. The annual Polo Festival held in August is the largest festival of its kind in the UK, and other major events of the season include the medium goal Eduardo Moore Tournament; the John Prestwich 8-12 Goal Challenge Trophy; the Julian and Howard Hipwood Trophy; and the John Houghton Open Tournament. The club is also the Official Home of England Polo and now plays host to the prestigious Hurlingham Polo International.

Since his father’s death in 2008, Jamie Morrison has become the Chairman and CEO of the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. He is an accomplished polo player himself, having started playing the sport at the age of twelve. He represented England Schools from sixteen years through to the senior team, and also won two gold medals at the Federation of International Polo’s European Championships. He is a former England polo captain and he has been on two England tours, including test matches against South Africa and Argentina, amongst many more accolades.

Jamie’s aim is to develop the club’s commercial strategies to cement the stature of the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club as a world-class polo, events and equestrian facility, which pushes the boundaries for generations to come.
