Prime Minister Blair with the leader of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Al Nayan, in Geneva on October 9. The sheikh has now backed the international coalition despite his country having previously been one of only three nations officially to recognize Afghanistan’s Taliban regime.
