President Bush addresses employees of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on September 26 at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. Bush thanked the CIA workers for their long hours and hard work in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
On October 2 President Bush announces the reopening of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Alexandria, Virginia, located just across the river from Washington, D.C. Bush said security precautions are expected to include U.S. Marshals on every flight in and out of Reagan National Airport.
