Our narrator, whom we shall now call Ernie, for want of knowledge better, lying back under a shady tree, in his hammock, sipping on a coldie, is suddenly, rudely jolted from his slumber, an urgent need to share his dreaming.
Ernie:
“I don’t need to tell you that this great country of ours and everything in it, including us, came into being in ‘The Dream Time’ when powerful spirit beings roamed the land and created everything, even the stars of the heavens above; we’ve got a story about how every single thing came into being. And the creatures and man and the environment all lived in perfect harmony until one fateful day in 1770 when all that blissful existence would disintegrate, decay, and eventually be swallowed up by ‘Progress?’
But there’s some things you don’t know about this country; things that happened which…Well, let’s just sit back and take a look at how, but ‘for the grace of God?’ things might have turned out.”
