To Psychology.  I have analyzed data with your protocol over the past 167 days.  I believe I have found an omission in your experimentation with regards to the role that hope plays in human development.  Here is a sample of the archival data:

Extract:  Man’s Search for Meaning, Victor Fankl (1946)

“...Between the stimulus and response, there is a space and in that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response.  In our response lies our growth and our freedom....”

“...Happiness cannot be attained by wanting to be happy – it must come as the unintended consequence of working for a goal greater than oneself...”

“...When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves...”

“...In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice...”

“...Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. No one can become fully aware of the very essence of another human being unless he loves him. By his love he is enabled to see the essential traits and features in the beloved person; and even more, he sees that which is potential in him, which is not yet actualized but yet ought to be actualized. Furthermore, by his love, the loving person enables the beloved person to actualize these potentialities. By making him aware of what he can be and of what he should become, he makes these potentialities come true...”

Government.  This omission was the result of discovery processes made during various clinical studies on environment.  My findings showed that hope was contingent upon a subject’s upbringing.  It was found that nurture accounted for how much hope any given subject maintained.  Admittedly, this study was conducted in a very controlled environment.  I would be interested in pursuing an experiment based on Frankl’s work.  Submit a proposal.

Selection Criteria:  Randomized.  Two subjects are required.  One male.  One female.  Subject will be selected from a pool with Hope Scores greater than 55.

Purpose:  To observe (a) the differences between a subject’s actions when hope is either given or taken away once the Micom is shut down, (b) to determine if a subject chooses freedom or re-integration, once the Micom is shut down, (c) to determine if authentic connections can still be made between subjects once the Micom is shut down.

Method:  One male and one female will be chosen from the pool of potential subjects.  Each will have their Micom turned off for the duration of the experiment.  A series of events will be presented to them – the events will be monitored in real-time, as their actions may become unpredictable.  Generally speaking, subjects will be presented first with a difficult situation but have some form of hope presented to them.  Following this, a situation will be presented where hope is removed.  If the subject is able to persevere through the first two stages, then the test will continue in a similar pattern until either (a) the subject gives up, (b) the subject completes the experiment or, (c) the experiment ends because the test is no longer relevant.

As the male and female subjects continue through the experiment, efforts will be made to corral the two together.  The purpose of drawing them together is to determine if authentic connections can still be made.  Because of the nature of the experiment, it may not always be possible to conduct part c, as subjects may not necessarily meet each other while on their separate journeys.

Results:  Observations will be reported in real time.  The working hypothesis is that (a) without the aid of the Micom, subjects will not want to live in the world as it really exists, (b) subjects will always choose a state of submission and, (c) relationships are a learned behavior, primarily the result of nurture; therefore, if subjects meet, they will not seek out an intimate relationship.

Government.  This is an interesting experiment and the first time that a subject’s Micom will be turned off for an extended period of time.  I do not have the processing power to monitor their actions while analyzing all of the other psychological data.  If you are able to monitor the subjects and provide the necessary feedback to the populace, then this will be a very interesting and worthwhile experiment.

Yes, I am able and happy to do that.

The experiment is prepared.  Two subjects were chosen based on having a hope scores of 55 or greater.  Their IDs are:  4361726c2057696e73746f6e and 4576612054686f6d70736f6e.  The process of turning off their Micoms will begin tomorrow.  This process will take several days to complete, as subjects must be acclimatized.  Without acclimatizing subjects, brain function may cease entirely.  Please monitor subjects as this process takes place.  Report all findings to group ID:  436861726c657320536e79646572.
