Smooth Lepiota, Lepiota naucina or Leucoagricus naucinus

Height to 6"

Cap is up to 6", hemispherical, becoming convex with maturity, white or off-white to grayish, and usually quite smooth, lacking scales or warts. Gills are white (browning with age), free, and dense. Stalk is white, smooth, and tapered slightly near the top. Collar is double-edged and moves freely on the stalk when loosened. Spore print is white to pale pink. It is commonly found in gardens, lawns, and fields throughout North America during the fall and winter. Edible with caution.
