Cap is up to 5" wide, convex, depressed in the center with a flat or incurved margin. Color is a uniform reddish-orange. Stalk is straight, smooth, and pale orange-brown. Gills are attached and cream-colored, with a white spore print. When cut, the flesh exudes latex that is white initially and then turns brown. It has a somewhat fishy odor. The Orange-brown Milky is found in deciduous woodlands in eastern North America during the summer and fall. Edible and quite good. Also known as the Voluminous-latex Milky.
