Chapter 48. Instant Messaging with iChat

Sending and receiving email is a fun way to communicate with your friends and family members, but sometimes you may want instant communication. To satisfy your need for real-time communication, every Macintosh comes with a program called iChat. With iChat, you have a choice of sending text messages, audio messages, or video messages.

Text messaging lets you type messages, audio messaging lets you use your Macintosh like a telephone, and video messaging lets you see who you're talking to. If you want to stay in touch, iChat can help you do it with nothing more than a high-speed Internet connection.
