Spicy Cajun breakfast sausage

Ingredients

(Optional) Herbs to garnish ``

2 teaspoon of Tabasco plus more for serving

3 teaspoon of minced garlic

2 teaspoon of brown sugar

Chopped sage

1/4 teaspoon of Sea Salt, black pepper each or to taste

1/2 teaspoon of each paprika and cayenne

1 teaspoon of onion powder

2 teaspoon of fresh leaves thyme or 1/2-1 teaspoon of dried thyme

1 teaspoon of chili flakes

1.5 lbs ground sausage (lean pork or chicken sausage), chilled

Directions

1. In large bowl, place the ground sausage and add additional herbs and spices. Use your hands to mix together, then add Tabasco sauce if you want it spicy.

2. Form into about 3 1/2 by 1.5 inch thick patties. Patties will shrink after cooking or air fried.

3. Arrange about 4-5 patties on a parchment lined paper baking tray.

4. Cook in the Air fryer for 20 minutes or use the chicken function at 370F. Just half way through the cooking, pull the tray out and flip patties. Place back to continue cooking.

5. Once time completes, Remove and cover in a Plate. Repeat for remaining patties.

Serve with additional tabasco sauce or desired sauce.
