Put It into Practice

Scripture Says . . .

When we reach the limits of our love, when our selfishness surfaces, and when we’re tempted toward self-contempt, it’s the perfect time to remember God’s love. Ponder His love for you. Imagine the smile on His eyes when He looks at you. Instead of trying to make your own heart good, thank Him for the supernatural miracle at work within you even now. He’s up to something good in you.

Science Says . . .

A corruption in our thinking can and does cause negative changes in the brain and body. Unhealthy thought patterns activate the brain’s stress circuits causing inflammatory cascades that, if not resolved, damage insulin receptors and increase the risk for diabetes mellitus type II, heart attacks, strokes, obesity, high cholesterol, depression, dementia, and other health problems.6

Pursue Healing

Dare to ask God this question (on a regular basis):

In what ways do I think wrongly about You, Lord? Show me what’s true.

Be more tenacious about guarding your heart from every thought that weakens you and every attitude that poisons you.

Fill your heart and mind with thoughts of God’s grand involvement in your life.

Pray for a Miracle

Heavenly Father, I long to be more like You! Thank You for Your unending commitment to my transformation. I’m asking for a tangible, life-changing miracle in my heart. Meet me here, in this place, and give me a revelation of Your love for me. Pour out Your Spirit upon me so that I see others like You do. Put passion in my heart so I will step out and tend to the concerns on Your heart. I know I’m asking for something that You want to do for me, so I will wait in full faith for my miracle. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
