Data Redundancy (6.2.6)

The idea behind Data Redundancy is to be able to store the same set of data in multiple locations and to be able to update them all automatically. But, what if data updates are not successfully implemented? Then, data inconsistency problems occur. That then leads to more problems, causing the problem of data integrity. That multiplies problems with the data and tends to develop into serious problems for organizations that have a large amount of data and multiple data storage locations.
