Meredith Dillman remembers filling pages and pages with tiny fairies and unicorns as a child, with a story behind each one. As a teenager she became fascinated by anime, manga and medieval-themed Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
Meredith studied art and illustration at Minnesota State University Moorhead, practicing watercolors and exploring her love of the fine lines of Art Nouveau, Japanese woodblock prints, and Golden Age Illustration. The intricate details she was drawn to in art history continue to inspire her paintings and designs.
Since she graduated in 2002 she has created a growing collection of fantasy and mythology-based personal work, and her art has been published in several instructional books as well as licensed for fantasy products and collectables. She authored and illustrated Watercolor Made Easy: Fairies and Fantasy, a fantasy watercolor technique painting guide. This is her second book.
