“How are you feeling, Tyler?” Shannon said. “Are you wasted yet? What devious plot did you come up with?”

“Cripes,” Tyler sighed, wiping his forehead. “It’s hot in here. Never mind, I have it. They switch the nuke dummies for more dummies.”

“And just how would they do that without landing?”

“How do you know they didn’t,” Tyler said evenly. “Ask Cagney for the flight log. A Few Good Men my ass. No offense, Betty.”

“That isn’t plausible,” Ann said. “Like shit for brains said, they don’t land. There is no need to land. It’s a short run to Nellis, and the planes that carry nukes are going to be meticulously maintained.”

“Oops,” Tyler giggled. “I have engine trouble.”

“Could be,” Shannon nodded. “But that’s only half the puzzle. What happens after they land? How would they do this?”

“Beats me,” Tyler sighed. “I’m going to bed. I’m not the detective, Miss Flynn, you are. If you wish to save the world once again, then do so.”

“I will. I would. If I had a time  machine that could go back a few months.”
