PROLOGUE

Bambi Kennedy saw prisms of red, green and white as Bradley Kennedy tightened the grasp he held on her neck. Salty sweat poured off his forehead and dripped into her widened eyes as he squeezed harder.

He had one intention in mind.

To kill her.

The mattress under their bodies squeaked quietly as he proceeded with his mission. With each squeeze, Bambi could feel the breath being extracted from her lungs and her body collapsing. Glancing up into her brother-in-law’s eyes, panic gripped her because although she knew him for years, at the moment, she didn’t recognize him.

He was supposed to love her.

He was family.

Suddenly Bambi felt warm liquid dampen her thigh and when she fixed her gaze in that direction, she saw that it was Bradley. He wanted to kill her so badly that he lost control of his bladder and urinated over her legs.

Her chest felt weighted as she saw the vein down the middle of his forehead pulsate while his face reddened.

Bambi thought about her family. She thought about her life and she thought about all of the things she had to do before exiting this world. She wasn’t prepared to leave things undone.

Not now.

Not like this.

In an attempt to save her own life, Bambi scratched at his arms and face, taking skin and blood with each thrash. When he showed no signs of slacking up, she slammed closed fists against his jaw. No matter how hard she fought, nothing seemed to work. At the end of the day, although she was strong, she was reminded that he was a man and she was a woman.

With one more idea in mind, she raised her right knee and banged it into his penis with all of her might.

In extreme pain, he released his hold momentarily and Bambi rolled off the bed and her body collided with the floor. On her hands and knees, she coughed a few times and used the wall to stand up as she struggled to pull air back into her lungs. No sooner than she was on her feet, Bradley was behind her again.

With her slender neck in the pit of his forearm, he flexed his bicep and squeezed in an effort to complete the task he started...the murder of Bambi Kennedy.
