On 25 July 2005, Naida appeared outside the gates of Broadmoor Mental Hospital, where she had escaped with Jeanette Stanner several months prior. Her arms and legs had been badly lacerated, but treatment with disinfectant and bandaging prevented infection. She wore the scars, however, throughout her time at the facility.
In 2010, Naida was found competent to stand for a retrial and was sentenced to imprisonment for eleven years. She was released in 2014, having served a sentence, including her time at Broadmoor, of nine years and two months following a behavioral review.
During her stay, she did not receive a single visitor, nor did she say or write anything down. Upon her release, it is believed that she went home to Fairy Island to live out the rest of her life. Nothing is known about Naida from 2014 until news of her death hit the mainland in late 2047. As per her request, the box remained sealed until her death.
There is no record to show whether she and Scott Fromley had any sort of contact during her later years. Scott, however, never married.
Jaime Johnson is reported to have gone to Naida’s funeral on Fairy Island, but Scott was unable to attend due to a serious heart condition.
He died in 2048.
