GIFT OF WORKING OF MIRACLES

To another the working of miracles…

—1 CORINTHIANS 12:10 KJV

The Lord speaks through this powerful gift of working of miracles, which is the supernatural power to intervene in the ordinary course of nature and to counteract natural laws if necessary. God can speak to you about sickness and disease in someone’s body, and you can be a healing and miracle conduit of God’s power. The greatest miracle that occurs today is the miracle of human salvation. I see this as the greatest miracle of all because only the Spirit of God can illuminate the Word of God and reveal to us who Jesus Christ is (John 6:44; Matt. 16:17).

The gift of miraculous powers is operative and available for today as any other of the nine gifts. Also known as the working of miracles, this is a power sign gift unique to the New Testament church that involves performing supernatural events that could only be attributed to the power of God (Acts 2:22). This supernatural gift was exhibited and demonstrated often in the apostolic ministry of Paul, Peter, Stephen, and Phillip, among others noted in the Bible (Acts 19:11-12; 3:6; 6:8; 8:6-7). Those possessing the gift of miraculous powers or working of miracles operate by the Spirit of God to bring instant recovery, healing, and resurrection.

We can hear the voice of God through the power gift of working of miracles—especially those who are in need of a miracle touch from the Lord. The gift of miraculous powers is categorized with the gift of faith and gifts of healing as the power gifts. God often uses me in this gift of miracles coupled with the gift of faith, which I will talk about next. Any gifts or results are always credited to the Spirit of God and not to humans or to ourselves.

I have seen the Lord speak prophetically to me through this powerful gift to work a miracle. There was a time I was ministering to a woman who was unable to walk, so I prayed over her. This supernatural faith arose on the inside of me and I took her by the hand and lifted her up on her feet. I told her to walk and she looked perplexed as something happened to her and she started crying and began to dance and later run. God performed a miracle instantaneously.

God works miracles through believers by the Holy Spirit to glorify Himself. Arlene, the first administrator for my ministry with my brother Naim, needed a miracle touch because she was battling stage four breast cancer. We knew that she wanted to be totally healed, so we agreed to go over to her house to pray the prayer of faith and release the miracle power of God to Arlene’s body. There was a supernatural discontentment against sickness and disease that rose up on the inside of us. We cursed cancer in her body and commanded her body to be made well in Jesus’s name, and we cast out the spirit of death and infirmity. It took the gift of faith coupled with the gift of working of miracles and the power of agreement to break the power of darkness, sickness, and disease off her life.

We labored in prayer and faith with her for an hour, and all of a sudden her countenance was different. She was glowing and didn’t appear sick at all. Before, she couldn’t move or walk, and after praying for her and commanding cancer to go she was running around in the joy of the Lord. Several weeks later during her follow-up, there was no trace of any cancer in Arlene’s blood. We gave God glory for what He did because we made ourselves available to activate the gifts of working of miracles.

God doesn’t just work in mysterious ways but miraculous ways. God can use you to release the gift of working of miracles. You can ask for this supernatural gift and become a miracle worker. God wants to use you by faith to release His glory and power to those in need.
