Roasting nuts is an easy way to add more flavor to homemade nut butters. For this recipe, purchase unsalted roasted almonds or roast raw almonds on a baking sheet at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

4 cups roasted almonds

1 tablespoon honey or pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 to 2 teaspoons water

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 Place the roasted almonds, honey, oil, water, and salt in a food processor and process until creamy, 4 to 8 minutes, scraping down the sides occasionally.

2 Store in a jar with a tight lid or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
