simple honey syrup

Try a simple syrup made with honey instead of granulated sugar to cut the added sugar content in cocktail mixers while still getting a touch of needed sweetness. Making the Simple Honey Syrup in the microwave is quick and easy, but you can also heat it on the stovetop. Store in the refrigerator, and shake before using.

3 tablespoons local honey

1 cup warm water

Place the honey in a microwave-safe bowl or jar. Microwave on high until warm, 10 to 15 seconds. Add the water and whisk until blended. (If using a jar, cover with the lid and shake well.) Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
