About the Author

Charlene A. Porter, a graduate of Howard University, began her professional career as a trade association writer and editor. She later became a Los Angeles public high school English teacher and was twice nominated to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Her debut novel introduces an ongoing saga about an achievement-oriented African American family. The first two sequels, companion books Eeny Meeny Miney Mo and If She Hollers, will be available early 2011. She is also a scriptwriter, and lives in Denver, Colorado.
