Old Commonwealth Bottles

The Old Commonwealth brand, produced by J.P. Van Winkle and Son, is one of the newer companies (1974) to produce whiskey in collectible decanters. The ceramic decanters themselves are manufactured in Asia, while the whiskey is produced and bottled at Hoffman Distilling Co. in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

Today, most of the decanters are produced in regular and miniature sizes, with the titles of most pieces appearing on the front plaques.
