Being truly open is not easy, and I applaud Matthew for being transparent with us, the readers. This book speaks from a very deep place in all of us, yet most of us don't know how to access it. Matthew has made that connection, and we can, too, but it's all up to us as seekers of our own truth to find our paths. The simplicity of the book, “Conversations with God,” should show us that God is ready to communicate to us, his children, on a level that we can comprehend. This is the most wonderful aspect of being his creation that we can actually communicate with the Creator of the world! You will highly enjoy the depth and love in this book as a father/son relationship that we could all hope to have. Get ready for the realization that you, too, can have your own conversations with God after reading this book!
“Conversations with God” is a phenomenal book! "Alone" and "Imitate Jesus" are my favorite chapters. I can relate because I have been alone most of my life. Also, as Christians, we are supposed to imitate Jesus, but we don't see this in the body of Christ. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't believe that God speaks today. This book will show you that if we just "listen" and have faith, we can hear God speak to us. Also, God wants us to keep a journal. I love how God speaks to Matthew in this book. Very simple and not complicated. I give it 5 stars.
About a month ago while looking at books on Amazon, I came across one by a born-again Christian called “Conversations with God” by Suzanne D. Williams. I immediately downloaded and read it and was impressed with it. It was only a short book of about 41 pages. I was touched by the book and was happy that it was written by a Christian with biblical themes.
After I read that book, the Holy Spirit impressed upon my spirit that I was to write a book as well and call it “Conversations with God.” Over the next month, I wrote 15 blogs that became this book. I followed the topics covered by my former book, “Jesus Speaking Today,” where Jesus spoke to my readers. Instead of a one-page post as in “Jesus Speaking Today,” the Father had a two-way conversation with me and spoke on the same subjects at length.
I am a prophet who regularly hears messages for the Body of Christ and individuals, and so the idea of sitting down and having conversations with God appealed to me. While I felt the weighty responsibility of hearing from God and recording what he was saying to people, I was also highly rewarded to hear him speak.
I was touched by what God had to say to his people, and I was impressed by the simplicity of the messages. I don’t think that you need to be a Christian to understand what he said, but I can see that it would be an advantage. God didn’t speak to me in profound language, yet the messages touched and impacted me. I am so glad to know a God that can explain his message in simple terms for the common folk like me.
It is my prayer that you find much that speaks to you in these messages even if you mainly see this as a dialogue between a Christian prophet and his God. Nonetheless, I pray that it will encourage you to have your own conversations with God. I hope that every reader will use this book to propel them into keeping their own journal and having a conversation with God. While you can read the conversations that others have had with God, it is much more useful for you to have your own conversations with him.
