ABOUT JULIE KING
Looking to fill the time that was once occupied by college work, Julie took an interest in crochet for the first time. With a little guidance from her mom and the Internet, she was on her way. Julie started designing and selling her own crochet patterns in 2006, shortly after discovering Etsy. Having always been a crafty person, designing came naturally to Julie. Even as a child she enjoyed creating her own sewing patterns and craft projects. Originally specializing in amigurumi, Julie is now best known for her slouchy hat and “barefoot sandal” designs. Julie currently lives in Southern California, where she works as a crochet designer and blogger. She loves continuing to learn new stitches and techniques to incorporate into her designs as well as teaching others via her blog and YouTube channel. When she’s not crocheting, Julie enjoys being outdoors and can often be found hiking, exploring beaches, and practicing photography.
