Here we are again. The release of The Unbound Bookshop marks a dozen books. Can you believe it?
With each book, I’m more and more grateful for all the overwhelming help and support I’ve received over the years.
I wonder if my husband knew what he was getting into when I said, “Hey, I think I have an idea for a Christmas book,” back in December of 2018. Since then, he’s been by my side, championing me—and keeping me caffeinated—through the publication of twelve books. He’s nothing short of heroic.
I’d also like to thank my incredible family, who continues to support me, even when I blatantly steal details from their lives to include in my novels. I love you guys.
Of course, I can’t forget Gwenn—the woman who inspired it all. I’m grateful for her inspiration, her testimony, her prayers, and her friendship. She and her husband, Glenn, came to visit us in California earlier this year, further cementing their special place in my heart. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye! They are the very definition of found family, and if you ever get the chance to meet them, you’ll understand what I mean.
In fact, you should do yourself a favor right now and book your stay at blessingsonstate.com. You’ll thank me later!
I also owe an eternal debt of gratitude to Ana Grigoriu-Voicu with Books-Design, who continues to outdo herself with each cover, Krista Dapkey with KD Proofreading, for her brilliant editing skills and endless patience, and Beth Attwood, for her impeccable proofing skills that add the extra polish and shine. These ladies are a powerhouse of talent, and I’m so thankful to have them on my team.
Continued thanks to Dave Cenker, for his friendship that carries through even the more challenging writerly seasons. And to Dawn Malone and Elizabeth Bråten—I’ve loved getting to know you ladies. You inspire me with your beautiful writing and kind hearts, and I look forward to growing our craft and businesses together.
Hugs and heartfelt thanks to my fabulous ARC Team, who tirelessly catch the pesky typos I miss even after reading the book a hundred times.
And thank you to all the truly amazing readers in the Secret Garden Book Club, my favorite corner of Facebook. You guys make me smile. I wish we could all grab coffee together!
And lastly, to every reader who has ever read one of my books—thank you! You help keep the lights on. But seriously, you make this dream-turned-career possible. And I will forever be grateful.
