Praised for his “encyclopedic knowledge of Canadian history,” John Boyko is equally admired for his “engaging style” and ability to “make the most arid political debate interesting.” He is the author of four books on Canadian history and politics, including Hurricane: Attacking Socialism and the CFF and Last Steps to Freedom: The Evolution of Canadian Racism. He has also written newspaper columns and op-ed articles for various newspapers, including the Winnipeg Free Press and the National Post, and appeared on radio and television.

John Boyko holds degrees from McMaster, Queens and Trent universities; has been elected to municipal council; and has lectured on history and politics. He is currently an educator and administrator at Lakefield College School in Lakefield, Ontario.
