ABOUT SERIGRAPH
SERIGRAPH EMPLOYS more than 1,500 people in plants in Wisconsin, Mexico, China, and India. It makes graphic parts for multinational customers like Ford, Honda, Nissan, Whirlpool, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Arby’s, Sony, Gillette, Ping, Kodak, and Nokia. It must operate at their extremely high standards for quality, price, service, and delivery.
Its four Wisconsin plants employ about 500 co-workers, all nonunion.
Typical products are the face of the instrument cluster in your car, the face of a control panel on your appliance, the graphics on your razor or golf clubs, and the in-store advertising in many quick-service restaurants.
Our prices are driven down every year by global competition. We live in a world of deflation, the opposite of the hyper-inflation in health care. Hence, our costs must be lowered every year through better management and practices.
Serigraph’s manufacturing operations have achieved the following:
• ISO 9000, QSO 9000, and TS 16949, the highest international standards for operations
• ISO 14000, the highest international standard for environmental management systems
• Top quality ratings from customers like Whirlpool, Siemens, Maytag, Lorillard, Ping, Eastman Kodak, Mercury Marine, Delphi, De La Rue, and Kantus
• Recipient of the Wisconsin Forward Award, the state’s equivalent of the national Malcolm Baldridge quality award
The company has been on a lean journey since 2005. It has employed Six Sigma quality tools for more than two decades.
Serigraph, which is self-insured, moved to a consumer-driven, employee-empowered health plan on January 1, 2004.
