I have always read acknowledgments and wondered how so many people could be involved in writing one book. And now I understand. So, with great joy, I must begin my own stream of gratitude. Dustin, you make my every dream a possibility. Thank you, children, for happily eating all of your favorite easy dinners and for being proud of me. Amanda, you freed all of my caged characters and told me when it was boring. My parents, David and Dana Geigle, read my very first draft with unending faith in me. Sarah Eden’s specific encouragement lifted me at just the right moments. Jennifer Moore read an early draft and steered me gently and carefully. And then Annette Luthy Lyon’s edits chipped off the rough and helped transform it into something beautiful. I still hear her voice in my head when I write. I would be remiss without mentioning awesome critique groups and Adrienne and John Burger for their clarity and insight; as well as Cheryl Callison, David Christiansen, Matt Sullivan, Jessica Bell, Lisa Fenley, Nuha Said, and Michelle Pennington. I also acknowledge Kathy and Kami and the great team at Covenant for their faith in my manuscript and in me as an author. And finally, Paul Fitzgerald and the Peterloo Memorial Campaign deserve a mention. We have the same goal: to ensure these peaceful freedom fighters in St. Peter’s Fields are never forgotten.
