Chapter 65

Breeze hadn’t talked to Dior in a while and she was really starting to miss her friend. She knew that Dior was still messed up about what had happened, but that was really between Brian and Primo. She decided to call her friend and set up a little date.

“Hello,” Dior reluctantly answered her phone.

She wasn’t really mad at Breeze, but she hadn’t felt like talking to her lately.

“Hey,” Breeze said warmly.

“What’s up?” Dior said dryly.

“Nothin’. What you doin’?”

“On my way to the doctor’s office wit’ Brian.”

“How’s he doin’?”

“Could be a better.”

“Yeah, I guess so. But I’m comin’ that way and I wanna see you. Let’s got to the mall and get somethin’ to eat or somethin’,” Breeze suggested hopefully.

“I don’t know,” Dior said as she stared out of the window.

She had been spending all of her time with Brian and she could use a little break, but she didn’t know if she wanted to see Breeze.

“Come on, please?” Breeze whined. “I’m still yo’ best friend,” she reminded Dior.

“What time?” Dior asked as she rolled her eyes.

“Call me when ya’ll get back from the doctor and I’ll head out that way.”
