Kalamata Olive Tapenade

MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP

This tapenade is so simple and tastes much better than store-bought olive spread. You can buy Kalamata olives bottled, canned, or at a fresh olive bar. Either way, this is an easy way to serve up a delicious Mediterranean appetizer that is loaded with vitamin E.

 

1 cup pitted Kalamata olives

1 tablespoon drained capers

2 cloves garlic

2 teaspoons lemon juice

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

 

Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until spreadable. Serve in a small bowl with crackers or a sliced baguette.
