The Reader needs to read this scene as if it were out of a film. Given the fact the Reader may not be used to reading such scenes, Malarkey will help you out.
EXT. MALARKEY’S OFFICE-DAY
Liliana knocks on Malarkey’s door and he opens it. She’s well-coiffed and made up to look as if she’s going out on the town and stands with books in her arms. They speak very formally since there are several students sitting in the hallway.
LILIANA
Good morning, Professor Malarkey.
MALARKEY
(smiling)
Good morning, Miz Liliano. What can I do for you?
LILIANA
I’d like to discuss a few academic things with you if you have the time.
MALARKEY
Absolutely. Please come in.
LILIANA
Why thank you.
Liliana walks in and Malarkey closes the door. This time he locks it. Imagine the remainder of this scene in FAST FORWARD. If you want, you can listen to Beethoven again, but it’s not mandatory. Liliana flings her books to the floor and the two of them rip off their clothes and have sex on his desk, on the floor, on the desk again, in the swivel chair, doggie style, missionary style, whatever ever style you can think of after which time they hastily re-dress, and she picks up her books and brushes her hair.
As Malarkey opens the door for Liliana, the scene returns to NORMAL despite both of them being clearly the worse for wear. Malarkey’s shirt is untucked and his belt hangs limply in front of his zipper. Liliana tries to brush her hair, which is in flyaway mode. As she steps out of the office the other students in the hallway look at both of them rather strangely having heard what has just transpired in the office.
LILANA
Thank you, Professor Malarkey for pointing out my weaknesses.
MALARKEY
The pleasure has been all mine. Don’t hesitate to come again.
Liliana leaves, slightly turning her ankle as she walks down the hall while Malarkey smiles sheepishly at the students waiting in the hallway then closes the door.
Should this novel be made into a film, don’t expect to see this scene. Much too bawdy even for Malarkey.
