Dedication
This book is gratefully dedicated to those who have seen Tantra for what it is, and not for that which it is not. Specifically, I would like to thank some of my most important teachers:
H. H. Sri Paramahamsa Mahendranath (Dadaji), 23rd Adiguru (chief guru) of the Adinath tradition, whose influence transcends anything he could have guessed before his great samadhi (physical death). His teachings will inspire Tantrics—especially Western Tantrics—for ages to come.
Sri Lokanath Maharaj (Michael Magee), who has been quietly sharing his knowledge and providing the true essence of Tantra while others make up fantasies or simply repeat nonsense they read elsewhere.
Dr. Jonn Mumford, a true Tantric, filled with joy, laughter, and the willingness to share his vast wisdom.
Sunyata Saraswati, an inspiring teacher of the entire mind, body, and spirit.
The initiates of AMOOKOS and its offshoots, who continue with their development and practice of the system originally presented by Dadaji and Lokanath.
Shama Helena, whose strong voice reveals the importance of energy work and Tantra.
The many fine revealers of Tantric truths over the past 150 years, from Arthur Avalon (Sir John Woodroffe) to Harish Johari.
Carl Llewellyn Weschcke, who believed that a more comprehensive approach to Tantra was long needed.
And finally, I am especially grateful to the president and members of NAMASTE, who have allowed me to present much of their Tantric system for the new millennium.
