Portofino Cherry Chunk

Makes between 1½ and 2 quarts ice cream

When I visit my sister Libby in Freiburg, Germany, we always go to her local shop, Portofino’s, for ice cream. She gets dark chocolate, and I get “kirsch yogurt,” which is flavored with candied Amarena cherries. This scoop is like what would happen if we mashed together our standard orders; I love the combination of tangy yogurt, bittersweet chocolate, and cherries.

150g | 1 cup Classic Chocolate Chunks

100g | ½ cup chopped jarred Amarena cherries, or other candied cherry

1 batch Blank Slate Frozen Yogurt, just churned
