Well, here’s another acknowledgements page. And honestly, even though this is my second time assembling a book for publication, this acknowledgements section wasn’t any easier to do. I still don’t know where to begin. There are so many people to thank for getting me to the point where these books can finally start to come out, and while it would be nice to include everyone, the book gets more expensive to print with every page.
So hopefully, eventually, as I release more books I’ll get everyone.
Mom, I love you. Thank you for supporting my dreams. Sorry you have more books to dust now, but at least you get your copies for free.
Dad, I miss you. Thank you for trying to cram all the wisdom you could in the time we had together.
To my sister Amy who inspired parts of this book, I’m so happy to know you and that we are in each other’s lives now. Having a big sister like you has been grounding, even when we can’t talk. Thank you for being my sister.
And to everyone back in Arizona who looks out for my mom while I’m doing this, thank you.
Most of this book wasn’t written on my live streams, but I did spend many hours editing it with my followers, supporters, and friends in my Twitch chat cheering me on and utilizing all my various self-care redeems like I was a virtual pet. Thanks for that. The posture checks, especially, were great because I hunch over very badly when I edit.
In my last book, I shouted out the original crew of friends who brought me to Twitch. In this one, I want to feature a few more of my moderators and my artist. Keldor777, go design more bikinis. SundaeParty, go eat something. BlindZhiend, go drink water. Sleepless_Citrus, go do chaos. And to my artist, Wolfietaurus, I need to commission–like–ten more stream cats... I’m just kidding. Or am I? I love you guys.
Erin Carnarvon again helped me shepherd this book into its final form despite my own anxieties about literally everything. Thank you for all your help.
As before, my gratitude to Professors Kaplan, Villa, and Markell remains for their guidance and support in my intellectual journey.
But to Professor Josh Kaplan, thank you for welcoming Professor Evory into existence. To bring anyone who is reading this page up to speed, Professor Evory is a character I used before in a book I wrote while in college (that still sits in the stockpile of first drafts I need to edit and publish). Professor Kaplan, even then, you knew where my inspiration for him came from, and you welcomed it. You welcomed him. Thank you for that. And thank you for all the mentoring and guidance you gave to me, to my characters, and now to the readers who see themselves in this text.
To the Queen of Cups in my life, again, you don’t know how much you have meant to me or all the good you have brought to my life. It’s partially my fault because I’m so deep in my own head that I often don’t say it, but the gratitude is there. But thank you for all the support and for being you.
Finally, my heart goes out to Minx and Midnight, my feline writing companions. You are chaotic, but no one can make me smile like you two can.
