PIZZA MACARONI & CHEESE

My grandma made this for us once during a visit and I never forgot just how good it was. Since my kids love anything with pepperoni and cheese, I bake it so they can enjoy it as much as I did.

Prep: 30 min. • Bake: 25 min. • Makes: 12 servings

2 pkg. (14 oz. each) deluxe macaroni and cheese dinner mix

1/2 cup sour cream

1 can (14 1/2 oz.) petite diced tomatoes, drained

1 can (15 oz.) pizza sauce

1 small green pepper, chopped

1 small sweet red pepper, chopped

2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Italian cheese blend

2 oz. sliced pepperoni

1. Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni according to the package directions for al dente. Drain; return to the pan. Stir in the contents of the cheese packets and sour cream. Transfer mixture to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish.

2. In a small bowl, combine tomatoes and pizza sauce; drop by spoonfuls over the macaroni. Top with peppers, cheese and pepperoni. Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly.

GOES GREAT WITH

Set a packaged prebaked pizza crust in a hot oven until warmed through and crispy. Slice it into wedges.
