Very Cherry Trifle
Makes 10 to 12 servings
1 angel food cake, cubed
1.4-oz. pkg. instant sugar-free vanilla pudding mix
1-1/2 c. fat-free milk
8-oz. container fat-free sour cream
20-oz. can sugar-free cherry pie filling
8-oz. container fat-free frozen whipped topping, thawed
Place cake cubes in the bottom of a clear glass serving bowl; set aside. Combine pudding mix, milk and sour cream in a mixing bowl. Beat until thickened, about 2 minutes; let stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon pudding mixture over cake; spread pie filling over pudding, then spread topping over pie filling. Refrigerate until serving time.
Creamy fat-free vanilla yogurt makes a delicious topping for fresh strawberries, nectarines and blueberries.
