Getting There

image

Before the fun at Universal Orlando, you must first make your way there.

By car:

Address: 6000 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL.

Universal Orlando is accessible by car from Interstate 4 (I-4), where you follow Universal Blvd north to the parking area.

Parking garages open 90 minutes before the parks open. All levels except the top level are covered.

Self-parking is $26 per day, and prime parking is $36.  Disabled parking bays can be requested; these are closer to CityWalk and the theme parks. A drop-off point is also available.

After 6:00 pm, parking is free for all, except on peak dates such as Halloween Horror Nights.

After parking, go through security and walk through CityWalk – turn left for Universal’s Islands of Adventure or right for Universal Studios Florida. For Volcano Bay, you board a shuttle bus from level 1. Parking is 10 minutes’ walk from the theme parks.

Disney to Universal Orlando by car:

Follow Disney resort signs to Interstate 4 (I-4). Follow the I-4 North/East for 6 to 8 miles, take exit 75A, and merge onto Universal Blvd.

Public Transportation

You will be using Lynx - Orlando’s public bus system. At the airport, board route number 42 or 111, and ask for a transfer ticket - ride this bus route to the ‘Florida Mall’ stop (25 minutes).

At Florida Mall, transfer to bus route 37 and ride this for approximately 45 minutes to the stop called ‘Universal Boulevard and Hollywood Way’ which drops you off at the resort parking area.

The total journey is about 1h15-1h30m (with departures every 25 minutes). We recommend using Google Maps to guide you along. You will need exact change for the buses - the fare is $2 per person.

Disney to Universal:

Go to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) or Disney Springs. Find the LYNX bus stop and catch the number 50 bus - get a transfer ticket.

Ride the bus for about 35 minutes to the stop at International Dr and Sea Splash Way.

Here, wait for the number 8 LYNX bus and ride it until International Dr and American Way. The number 8 bus takes about 15 minutes (30 minutes at rush hour). From here, it is a 20-minute walk to the Universal Orlando Resort.

The journey time is about 1h15m to 1h30m.

Use Google Maps to plan this route - buses are not very regular. You will need exact change for the buses - the fare is $2 per person.
