Complete Works of Maya

Foreword by the EPUB Adapter

This EPUB contains the full contents of the PDF released by Maya in 2008. Several features recommend this version over the PDF:

it has an integrated table of contents;
it is about 10 MB smaller; and
it is not a stinking PDF.

Now: why should you read these stories? You who came looking for them need no explanation. For the rest: I have not read them all (at least, yet) but Draco, the Amazing Bouncing… Rat? is one of the funniest fan works ever made. Maya helped create the “Draco in Leather Pants” trope, and her creation is a stellar example of why girls like bad boys. “Flame and Shadow” is less strictly comedy, but still a funny and insightful read. Both works seem surprisingly red pilled.

Only Draco, the Amazing Bouncing… Rat?, Underwater Light (Chapter Two was untitled), and the Badger Series have authorial chapter titles, the rest were added as an aid to navigation.

This file validates, without warnings or errors, as EPUB v3.3 in EPUBCheck v5.0.0. It was made using open-source tools that shall remain nameless, since the author pulled these works from the Net, and I want no trouble for anyone else. (That means, do not track down Maya waving this EPUB around unless you are bulletproof or something.)

0.1: First conversion, never released.
0.2-alpha: First public release, flat tables of contents.
0.3: Nested tables of contents, with toc.xhtml included in the EPUB body, and some text clean-ups.
0.4: Lots more text cleanups, which made the EPUB work in the EPUBReader browser extension. Why exactly 0.3 stopped working is a mystery as no useful errors were logged, other than “EPUB is incomplete.”
