This juice provides a good range of nutrients, including the rejuvenating properties of spirulina.
4 carrots, peeled and halved lengthways
1 apple, quartered, cored and cut into wedges
3 handfuls of seedless white grapes
2 handfuls of sliced red cabbage
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1–2 teaspoons spirulina (see page 18)

Juice the carrots, apple, grapes and cabbage then stir in the lemon juice and spirulina.
lemon The immune-boosting properties of vitamin C are well documented and are found in bountiful amounts in lemons. While unlikely to prevent colds and flu, the nutrient certainly lessens their severity and the length of illness. Vitamin C also increases the body’s ability to absorb iron from food.
