The perfect sustaining breakfast in a glass for days when you don’t have the stomach for something too substantial. Bananas provide an instant energy boost, while the malty-tasting maca is a potent combination of complex carbohydrates and protein. Try making your own almond milk, too.
250 ml/1 cup fresh almond milk (see page 22)
1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
3 medium bananas, peeled and chopped
2 teaspoons maca powder (see page 16)
1 teaspoon raw cacao powder (see page 15)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
raw cacao nibs (see page 15), for sprinkling

Put the almond milk, peanut butter, bananas, maca powder, raw cacao powder and cinnamon in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve sprinkled with the cacao nibs.
